I have tutored for free, children in elementary school with their math and writing skills. Now, being in college studying difficult and time consuming science classes,I find it helpful for myself to teach other students about their math/science/writing problems. Writing has always been a passion of mine and I am a very proficient essay writer. Additionally, I have a lot of patience with students who require more time then others, and have creative visual ways of explaining certain concepts in math and science. I did well on my SATS, especially in the reading comprehension and writing section, and did slightly above average in math, and very well on the biology subject testing. I would like to be a tutor because I know what it feels like to be confused and defeated with certian subjects, and not having adequate help, or furthermore, being intimidated by the tutor.I am very easy going and approachable and personable. My most challenging class thus far is currently chemistry-dealing with thermodynamics. The application of various equations to various concepts is confusing, but fascinating at the same time. Furthermore, despite it being difficult,i stay up and read the book with a passion. I want my student to feel this way about a subject even if they are having difficulties with it.
