I am a first year PhD student studying Cell and Molecular Biology. I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Regenerative Medicine.
Experience
My first teaching experience was as an instructional student assistant for a human biology class during my undergrad. Then, as a graduate student, I thought multiple sections of a cell and molecular biology intro class for science majors. Having previously been a resident advisor in the dormitories for two years, I easily connected with students and created an environment that facilitated learning as well as established a professional atmosphere. If it was not for these jobs, I would not be aware of the importance of finding different ways to enhance students’ understanding of the material and being a role model to them. Having attended high school both in Europe and in the United States, I had the opportunity to learn different teaching methods, take classes that were not offered in one or the other country, but most importantly, embrace the diversity of the education system. Moreover, having completed my Bachelor's degree, I successfully took a wide range of classes; from general education classes such a history and English, to major classes such as molecular genetics and biochemistry. I also took the GRE as it was a requirement to apply for graduate school.

I am an enthusiastic individual who enjoys meeting new people and learn about their personalities, stories, and interests. I also enjoy a good read (even if during college it was tough to find the time for recreational reading), hiking new places, and cooking different recipes.
