I volunteered for two quarters last year at La Familia Center in the Santa Cruz beach flats, for an hour we would help students with their homework and then we would take them to the park for free time, I worked with the younger age group (6-10). I am really interested in tutoring because I love to help others and think that it would be really rewarding to work with students and provide input and ideas to help students manage their time more efficiently and help them to learn and retain the information better. I took education 92B last winter quarter and learned many different and interesting theories on how children learn, in groups we also developed school curriculum's at the end of the quarter. This quarter I am taking a psychology class about cultural perspectives on adolescence development and have taken many beneficial psychology as well as other classes that could be applied. I went through Pre-Calculus math wise, I have taken a few Science classes, a few History and Music classes and several other interesting classes through out my college career. (I can provide a transcript of classes)
