Hola! Mi nombre es Michelle, and I'm originally from Argentina and live in Santa Cruz now. I'm currently working at the language center called "Aux 3 Pommes", in downtown Santa Cruz, teaching adults and children. I've been working as a Spanish teacher for the last 12 years. I started in 2012 as a Spanish and French tutor at the San Diego City college where I was studying Fine arts and English. In 2004, after I got my degree I got a job at the well known Berlitz Language Center teaching Spanish with a total immersion program, and at the same time I was hired by the company Sing'n Speak Spanish, a holistic teaching program based in music that is successfully used in more than 20 elementary schools in the San Diego county. In 2007 I went back to Cordoba, Argentina, and went back to University where I got a B.A. in Profesorado de Castellano. Meanwhile, I started teaching in two very well known private schools, first in COINED school and after six months at an area academy, both places are mainly focused in teaching Espanol para Extranjeros (Spanish for foreigners), imparting lessons either for travelers or exchange university students. And then I did a Master's of foreign language teaching for two years in the same university. After this, I founded and coordinated a teacher's association for exchange students. Since then, I was working independently collaborating with some other teachers along the country in order to exchange studying material, doubts, services, information for students and more. After all my experience, teaching to both adults and children from many different nationalities and backgrounds, I've developed faster and more efficient teaching-learning techniques for studying Spanish as a Second Language, whether to be able to speak and manage yourself with basic communication skills in a short time or to improve your previous language knowledge through grammar and phonetic exercises using the latest teaching techniques. Some recommendation letters either from the U.S. or from Argentina are available with my resume.
