Education

I have been a student at Cabrillo College for a few years. I have primarily focused on math and physics during my time there.

Experience

I worked as a tutor at the Math Learning Center (MLC) at Cabrillo for two semesters. I like being a tutor because I really enjoy math and I enjoy helping people. Tutoring combines both of those things in a very unique way. I went through the Math Academy program at Santa Cruz High, which thoroughly teaches everything below calculus. Then I took AP Calculus BC my junior year and received a 5 on the AP test. At Cabrillo, I went through calculus once more to refresh my skills, then I went on to take linear algebra and differential equations. I also took statistics to be a more versatile tutor at the MLC. Cabrillo offers a class that teaches students how to become tutors, which I have taken twice. It includes different methods of tutoring and working with students that may be frustrated.
