I have taught university-level students for the past six years, initially as a primary instructor at KM Music Conservatory in Chennai, India, and currently as a Graduate Assistant at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I have privately tutored students during this time, primarily in music lessons, but also in writing, algebra, and GRE/SAT prep. I have also been a very successful writing tutor for students writing college entrance essays in both undergraduate and graduate-levels.

Hobbies
My primary area of research in my academic studies are the musical traditions of South Asia, including the musical systems of India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. I have played the North Indian tabla (drums) for many years, and my musical pursuits have taken me across the world many times. I speak several languages, including Hindi/Urdu, Tamil, and Spanish.
