Before that I attended UC Santa Cruz for my BS in Physics and minor in Computer Science. Before attending UCSC, I studied at Cabrillo Community College, where I completed classes in Physics, Math and Computer Science. I was abroad for 3 years during high school, the first 2 in France and the 3rd in Venezuela, so I have a strong level in both French and Spanish. Experience
I was a graduate teaching assistant in UMD's Physics department. Overall, I have worked as a Math and Physics tutor for 4 years, at universities, community college, and as a private tutor. Previously, I worked as a tutor and teacher's assistant for the Physics department of Cabrillo College and the Math Engineering Science & Achievement center for 3 years. I have worked with students one-on-one and also ran weekly, semester-long workshops for groups of 5-20 students. I am comfortable tutoring Math and Physics to individual students of various levels and ages as well as small groups. On occasion I also help students in Computer Science. Why I love tutoring: I love learning and have always enjoyed solving problems. I'm a social person, and actively embrace opportunities to converse with others and learn from their experiences. I'm passionate about tutoring because it allows me to help others, while working through ideas in my favorite subjects. I believe that working with tutors was an important part of my own education (especially in Calculus) and I think with the right learning environment anyone can succeed in any class, whether it be Trig, Calculus or Electromagnetism!
