1. I worked as a volunteer for an adult literacy program. I tutored the student three times a week, 2 hours per session for 8 months. As a tutor, I taught English reading and writing skills. 2. I worked as a teaching assistant at Pasadena City College (Fall 2012 - Spring 2013) for an English writing course. I assisted the professor during class time and also held office hours to help the students with their essays. 3. I worked as an English tutor at Pasadena City College's teaching and learning center (Spring 2012). As an English tutor, I helped students work on their writing. This included brainstorming for ideas, drawing an outline, and constructing a paragraph.
