Experience
I am a high school biology certificated teacher. I have taught biology, AP biology,and anatomy/physiology with the new NGSS standards. I graduated with a degree in plant and environmental sciences from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I worked on applied lab research for UC Davis after graduation, as well as, with Monterey County. After realizing I wanted to teach science, I went back to Cal Poly, and graduated with my teaching credential in secondary biology. I know and have taught according to the current state standards and am familiar with a large amount of content that many classrooms use already. I am certified to work with students who need or would like accommodations or any changes that may make the learning experience easier for you or your child.

Hobbies
I am a science and plant lover that found a passion for teaching. I am currently not teaching in a classroom because I am taking a break to be with my new baby. I am happy to work with you and your student to help them achieve the results they want in their class. Being that I am a certificated high school teacher, I am also familiar with many of the common worksheets, handouts, test formats, lab concepts, etc. I am confident with my expertise and know I can increase you or your child's confidence in the classroom.
