I had the joy of working at Pacific Collegiate School in Santa Cruz as an academic assistant/teacher in the Directed Studies Classroom for 4 years. This position required tutoring study strategies for ALL subjects 7th-12th grade. Since 2014, I have been a private tutor for middle school and high school students. My job is to create and implement learning strategies for each individual that I teach, from 7th grade math to AP English. My overarching goal is to show any student that their challenges can be overcome with a strong mind, even if their brains present challenges like ADD, Autism, other learning disabilities, or just typical student struggles. I believe in working just as hard as the students I tutor to demonstrate that they are never alone and we are "in this together". I have been tutoring in some capacity since I was in 5th grade, through middle school, high school, college, and post grad.
