Conor T.
Private tutor in Santa Cruz, CA
Education
Senior Physics Major at University of California, Santa Cruz
Experience
Current MSI learning assistant for required introductory physics course. Also a learning support services tutor for two non-major physics courses. In these roles, I have found ways to explain and share my love of physics and mathematics both to students who may not have taken any math classes for years, and for students currently starting in the physics and electrical engineering majors. In terms of high school, I scored a 5 in three AP tests and 4 in three others in subjects ranging from English composition to calculus and physics. I also scored 2000 on the SAT on the first attempt and would love to share my advice for preparing for tests such as these.

Hobbies
My current project involves the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC), where I will be collaborating with professors from UCSC to test different types of detectors to use in future experiments. I also enjoy mountain biking and snowboarding, depending on the weather. I am also a great fan of local music and try to get out to see different bands whenever I get the chance.
